Kushal Sets World Record, Breaks Rahul's Record

Nepali cricket team opener Kushal Bhurtel has set a world record in T20 international cricket. He holds the world record for the fastest batsman to complete 500 runs.
Bhurtel achieved this feat in 12 games. He added two runs to his tally against Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the triangular T20 series.
In this match, Bhurtel was run out for 20 runs in 11 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. He also broke the record of Indian opener KL Rahul. Rahul had completed 500 runs in 13 games. Kushal has scored 518 runs in 12 T20 matches. Which includes 5 half centuries and 1 century.
After losing the toss to PNG, Nepal is batting first. Nepal and PNG are about to play in T20 International after seven years. The last time Nepal and PNG competed in the ICC T20 World Cup was in 2015. In that match, Nepal lost to PNG by 8 wickets.
After losing the toss in the match in Dublin, Ireland, Nepal, which had batted first, was reduced to 93 runs. Apart from Pradip Airy (29), Sagar Pun (15) and Sharad Veshwakar (11), the rest of the batsmen could not score even in double figures.
In reply, PNG met the target of 94 runs by losing 2 wickets in 14.1 overs. Asad Bhala scored 34 not out, Tony Ura 32 and Qila Pala 22 not out.
It will not be easy for Nepal to beat PNG which is in excellent rhythm in the series starting from Monday. It had won the ODI series against Nepal 2-0 at the TU ground. He defeated Nepal by 6 runs in the first match and 3 wickets in the second match.
However, Nepal's record at home in T20 international cricket is good. Nepal has won 8 out of 8 matches played at the Tribhuvan International Stadium. Today, Nepal has a chance to make history by winning against T20 PNG for the first time.
